Governor Abbott issued an executive order authorizing dine-in restaurants (i.e. where customers may eat or drink only while seated) with less than 51% gross receipts from alcoholic beverage sales to operate at up to 75% capacity beginning Monday, 9/21. Dine-in restaurants located in areas with high hospitalizations, however, must maintain 50% capacity. Bars and similar establishments with TABC permits must remain closed except for authorized drive-thru, pickup, or delivery options.
