TABC Interprets Gov. Abbott's Open Texas Order

TABC published guidance yesterday evening interpreting Governor Abbott's latest executive order regarding who may reopen on May 1 at limited capacity.

TABC's interpretation is that manufacturers may reopen tasting rooms and taprooms for dine-in service only if they operate a restaurant as well with food and nonalcoholic beverage sales exceeding alcoholic beverage sales and follow the recommended health protocols.

Manufacturer tasting rooms and taprooms without a restaurant may reopen for limited tastings and purchases for off-premises consumption following the recommended health protocols.

Restaurants with food and nonalcoholic beverage sales exceeding alcoholic beverage sales and movie theaters may reopen following the recommended health protocols.

Bars may not reopen at this time.

Stay safe out there.
